đŸŽ¶ New Music From Johnny Cash Set to Release This Summer! đŸŽ¶

Plus "The Voice" updates, Beatles deep dives, and more!

Good Morning. Johnny Cash’s estate is releasing a new full-length record by the late Americana icon this June 28 via Mercury Nashville/UMe, but you can listen to the first singles now. Plus, we look at important updates on The Voice, take a deep dive into a Beatles deep cut, and lots more. Check out the latest in American Songwriter news below.

The eleven-track collection sat in a vault for more than three decades before John Carter Cash, the son of Johnny and June Carter, pulled it out, dusted it off, and prepared it for release. Hear the first sample of the album “Well Alright” below.

If you’re a fan of NBC’s The Voice, then you likely noticed that there wasn’t a new episode last night. Here’s what you need to know about the series’ recent schedule change (and when you can catch the next episode).

When Paul McCartney wrote “For No One” in the spring of 1966, he was 23 years old and undergoing many changes. Despite the track being less than two minutes long, the song marks a pivotal period in McCartney’s life and career. The following year, he’d meet his future wife.

From watching him win American Idol to following his subsequent award-winning country music career, we loved getting to watch Scotty McCreery check another monumental experience off his bucket list this past weekend.
