The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s Class of 2024 inductees were announced on Sunday, April 21, live during ABC’s broadcast of American Idol, and many of the honorees have shared their reactions to the big news.

We sit down with hit songwriter Shane McAnally to discuss his specific analogy that reflects the course of his life as a musician. Admitting that he’s never been adept with geography, McAnally relies on GPS to get him to his destination—even if it takes him on an unexpected route.

Kendji “Girac” Maillié, former winner of The Voice: France, was taken to the hospital early on April 22 after he was shot in the chest at a Traveller camp in Biscarrosse, France, near Bordeaux. Police were called around 5:30 a.m., and Girac was taken to a hospital in Bordeaux.
